About this Course

This two-day course is designed for students who are preparing to complete the installation and configuration of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013.

Before attending this course, students must have:

An understanding of Microsoft Windows Server and Client operating systems and Active Directory
An understanding of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or 2012

Audience Profile:

This course is intended for partner that sells and implements the Install and Configuration module to customers. The typical partner has an ERP background.

Course Outline:

Module 1: Architecture.

This module explains the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 architecture and its core components.

Module 2: Installation RequirementsThis module explains the operating system and software prerequisites for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013.

Module 3: Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server.

This module explains the installation, configuration, and administration of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server.

Module 4: Microsoft Dynamics NAV Client Installation.

This module explains the installation of Microsoft Dynamics NAV Client.

Module 5: The Development Environment.

This module explains how to manage databases, companies, licenses and objects.

Module 6: RoleTailored Client For Windows Personalization.

This module explains the concepts of the RoleTailored Design.

Module 7: Deployment.

This module explains the deployment of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 client for Windows by using group policy.

Module 8: Microsoft Dynamics NAV PowerShell.

This module explains the Microsoft NAV Administration Shell.
